The other day I wrote this little story for something that I was doing. I would like to share it with all of you. I hope you all like it. God Bless.

The Princess and The Old Mad
Once upon a time there was a beautiful Princess. She was very lovely and she had everything she wanted. She had a gorgeous wardrobe and hundreds of servants in the huge castle, she lived in with her Father the King and her Mother the Queen. She had a stable full of horses and no limit to the money she could spend. She had the life every other girl wanted.
One day the Beautiful Princess was riding her horse through the woods when she came upon The Old Mad Man (at least that is what her parent’s and everyone had always called the old man, nobody really knew his name they just called him that because he was always talking about God and those types of things). Well she saw him and being the polite girl she was she said hello. He said hello back. Then they talked for a few minutes, and then she left to continue on her ride through the forest.
The next day she was riding in the same area and she saw the old mad man again and said to herself; “He doesn’t seem mad, I rather like the old fellow, I think I shall talk to him again today”. She said hello to him and he replied with a hello back. But on this day she had a chance to see why everyone else called him mad. For he told her that she was a sinner and that she needed to repent of her sins, he tried to tell her more terrible things. But when she heard him talking in this way she was terribly offended and she left before he could finish what he was sentence.
On the way back to the castle she thought about what The Old Mad Man had talked about. She was rather mad about the things he had said. He said that she was a sinner and she needed to repent. Well she thought to herself “I am a good person, I help the poor and I even gave a lunch to a little orphan boy the other day. How am I a sinner?”. She continued to think about the conversation for a couple of days especially on her rides in the forest (she made sure to not go to the area where the old mad man was at). Until one day she couldn’t stand it anymore. She had to go back and see The Old Mad Man again she had to know what he was really talking about. She had to understand why he would say such awful things.
She made her way through the forest to where she knew The Old Mad Man would be. Finally she got to the place and could see him right through the trees. She walked up to him. She asked him if he could explain what he was talking about the other day. But she didn’t wait for him to answer; she just informed him that she was a good person, and did lots of amazing things, and that she didn’t think she was a sinner, because she was such a good person. Well she thought that the old man would surely see that she of all people wasn’t a sinner. The Old Mad Man just gave her a Bible and told her to read Ephesians 2:8-9. So she took the Bible and went back to the castle.
When she got there she ran to her room to read the book that the old man had given her, for she was so curious what it had to say. When there she opened up the Bible and found the verses in Ephesians and it said:
8For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast.
She read this and was very thoughtful for a few minutes. She read it again and again and again. Until she finally understood what it meant. But even then she was a little confused so she decided that the next day on her ride in the woods that she would go back to The Old Mad
The next day she went to him and he explained everything that she didn’t understand. She learned all about Jesus and what he did for her and how He had died for her and how He covers the sins of those who ask Him too. She also learned that Grace was given freely to those who ask for it. She realized that she was a sinner just like the old man had said. It broke her heart. So she got down on her knees and she prayed that God would forgive her and that His grace would cover all her sins. When she was done praying she asked the old man what to do next. He told her to continue to read her Bible and pray for guidance and grace from the Lord. God would show her what to do next.
As she grew she became a wonderful daughter to the real King Jesus, and when it was time for her to become Queen she was ready for the task she had before her. She was the best Queen that the country had ever had. She was known for her wisdom and grace. She died as a old woman; some people had called her The Mad Queen, but those who had really known her knew that she wasn’t mad she was just a passionate woman that loved her Lord Jesus. She knew that life was too short to not have an all consuming passion for God. She had lived each day like it was her last and to the very fullest. Because of her faithfulness, God used her mightily and many lives came to know Jesus because of her example.
The End.
